Vintage Reviews

Back in the early Aughts we created a website called ReconstructedBellybutton.com.  Mostly movie reviews, but a few “Guess the Inane Storylines,” some Oscar annoyance, and a handful of oddities here and there.  We loved movies but started to lose the joy for movie-going when it felt like work.  We’re older, I’m apparently nostalgic, and the state of movies is just weird.

Here are our vintage movie reviews, which are probably 98.2% loyal to the original reviews – I had some typos and odd phrasing that I’m cleaning up here and there.  I’m also adding footnotes as necessary.  My Aughts self seems to have had a number of firm opinions that now I’m like, ummm, what?  Oh time, you funny little creature.
